Barbara Ruth Taylor 04/16/1943 - 01/10/2026

Barbara Ruth Everett Taylor, better known as “Nana” a life-long resident of Maryville, TN, passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2026 at the age of 82 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Barbara was a strong believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She grew up in the Hubbard Community, where she went to Walland High School. She married Gary C. Taylor on June 17, 1961 and they were blessed with two children. She loved to garden and travel with her husband of 64 years. One of her passions was quilting and her love was felt in every stitch. Barbara created the most beautiful quilts and enjoyed gifting her one-of-a-kind quilts to family and friends. However, her greatest joy was being “Nana”! Her heart overflowed with love and her greatest pride was her grandkids. She leaves behind her husband, Gary C. Taylor. Other survivors include (daughter) Michelle (Taylor) Helton, (son) Jason Taylor, (grandchildren) Lindsay and Samantha Helton and four greatgrandchildren, (sisters) Dorothy Hayes, Wilma Caughorn, and Shirley Jones. Preceded in death by; (parents) Enoch and Blanche Everett, (brothers) Ralph, Jimmy, Tommy, and Buddy Everett. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
