Beatrice Bea Free 02/23/1938 - 09/05/2025
Bea Free, age 87, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at MorningView Village Memory Care. She was born February 23, 1938, in Louisville, TN, and was a lifelong resident there until she moved to MorningView.
Preceded in death by Husband of 52 years, Norman V. Free, and son, Trent Free. Parents: Ted and Stella (Cunningham) Goforth. Brothers: Buster Goforth (infant), Burl Dennis Goforth (infant), Bill Jeffries, Denton Goforth, and Bobby Goforth. Sisters: Genette Goforth (infant) and Elaine Shope.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa (Greg) Sharp and Gloria Free. Grandchildren: Alex (Mandy) Norton, Katie (Ethan) Carter, Dylan Livesay, Cory Livesay, and Charlie Free. Great-grandchildren: Eli Carter, Emma Carter, and Knox Livesay. Several nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law, Barbara Free.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 6-7 P.M. at Zion Chapel Baptist Church, Louisville, TN. A memorial service, led by Pastor Jim Malone, will directly follow. Funeral services provided by Blount Funeral and Cremation.
Bea’s family wishes to thank those who have kept her in their thoughts and prayers during her final years.
Gloria would also like to extend a special thank you to the following family and friends who visited Bea regularly, bringing comfort, joy, and companionship during her time at MorningView: Iris Matcovich, Karen Free, Troy Guider, Katie Carter, Ethan Carter, Eli Carter, Emma Carter, Alex Norton, Mandy Litton, Billy Jeffries, and Leslie Queen.
The family also extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at MorningView Village for their compassionate care, support, and kindness throughout Bea’s time there.
Receiving of friends will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 6-7 P.M. at Zion Chapel Baptist Church, Louisville, TN. The service will follow afterwards.
