Linda Lou Comerford, 73, of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025.
Born on February 20, 1952, in Knoxville, Linda lived a full and meaningful life rooted in compassion, resilience, and devotion to those she loved. She was the longtime co-owner of Inskip Glass Recycling before following her true passion—caring for others—by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant and later a Licensed Medical Assistant.
Linda found joy in the simple things. She was an avid gardener, a skilled angler, and could always be found cheering on her favorite WWE wrestlers alongside her beloved grandson, Eli. Her heart was always open, and she devoted herself fully to her family, friends, and sisters, offering love, care, and unwavering support.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed Covington and Thelma Marie Reed; and her brothers Vernon Reed, William Gass, James Gass, and Marvin Reed.
Linda is survived by her children Kimberly Fannin and John Randall Comerford (Rachel); and their father and her former husband, John Robert Comerford. She is also survived by her loving sisters Brenda Berry, Georgina Henry, and Sharon Reed; her grandchildren Candace Comerford, Lakin Comerford, John Russell Comerford, Gavin Bowling, Elijah Fannin, and Lucas Ray Comerford; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Linda’s love and strength left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
