Ann Kilborn Phillips of Maryville, TN, passed away on May 8th, 2025, at her home in Maryville, TN, with family by her side .
Ann was born in Andalusia, Alabama on September 9th, 1940 to parents Robert Owen Kilborn, a car salesman, and Gwendolyn Warren Parrish, a Revlon beauty consultant.
Ann attended Murphy High School in Mobile, AL and later became an administrative professional at Springhill Medical Center.
After retirement, she and her husband Larry and their daughter Missy bought their dream home together here in Maryville, TN, in the foothills surrounding the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.
In her retirement, she was a member of First Christian Church, and enjoyed tending to her herb garden, studying her bible, discovering garage sale treasures, and exploring the mountains with her husband Larry.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry W. Phillips Sr, parents Robert O. Kilborn and Gwendolyn W. Parrish; Beloved step-father “Daddy” Hubert Charles Parrish Sr; siblings Bill and Hubert C. Parrish Jr; and her children Joseph L. Graydon Jr, Larry W. Phillips Jr, and Michelle E. Keltner.
She is survived by her former spouse Joseph L. Graydon Sr; siblings June G. Ethridge and Judy Gwen Powell; daughter “Missy” Kay Graydon; daughter-in-law Gina Graydon, grandchildren T.J. Gibson, Carlos Gibson, Joseph M. Graydon, Olivia N. Keltner, and Libritney N. Overton; great-grandson Cameron Stevens;—along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends at Blount Funeral and Cremation, 2730 US-411, Maryville, TN 37801, on Friday May 16th from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Graveside service to follow under the pavilion at Grandview Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.
