It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Steven Olson, who left us on April 30th, 2025, at the age of 59. A devoted father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, and musician, Steven’s presence brought warmth and light to the lives of everyone who knew him.
Steven proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he exemplified courage, integrity, and unwavering dedication. After completing his military service, he continued to share his many gifts—not only through his work but through his lifelong passion for music. As a talented and heartfelt musician, Steven was a proud member of a local band, where his love for life echoed in every chord he played and every lyric he sang.
Steven was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tina, who passed away after a brave battle with cancer, and by his brother Patrick, whose memory he carried close to his heart. He is survived by his loving siblings, Tracy and Lynn, whose bond with Steven remained strong throughout his life.
He is also survived by his three children, Barry, Charity, and Trevor, who were his pride and joy; his two stepdaughters, Shelby and Amber, whom he loved as his own; and by his cherished grandchildren, Cora, Payten, Bryson, Parker, Wren, and Oaklee, who brought endless light and happiness into his later years. Steven was a proud and devoted grandfather who loved sharing stories, music, and laughter with the next generation.
Steven is also fondly remembered by his in-laws, Leroy and Faye, who welcomed him as family and stood by him with love and support throughout the years.
Steven's kindness, strength, and generous spirit will be remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him. His legacy lives on in his family, friends, and bandmates.
A service celebrating Steven’s life will be held on May 19th at Blount Funeral and Cremation. Receiving of friends will begin at 3:00, followed by a small service at 4:00.
Rest in peace, Steven. Reunited with Tina and Patrick, your soul lives on in those you loved.
