Carolyn W. Carpenter passed away October 2, 2026. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy C. Dockins, mother Ora H. Whitehead, father Edgar A. Whitehead, brothers Bill Whitehead and Jimmy Whitehead. She is survived by her husband, Sterling (Fred) Carpenter, daughter Jama (Michael) Crye, son Brian Scott Carpenter, and son-in-law Brad Dockins (Sue Ann); her grandchildren Jason (Libby) Crye, Brandi (Bradley) Dyer, Jonathan Crye, Heather Dockins, Matthew Dockins, Rachel (Kelly) Ingle, Ashley Cable, and Karlie Carpenter; her great grandchildren Mary Curtis Crye, Gabe Crye, Caroline Crye, Samuel Crye, Allie Crye, Jama-Rae Ingle, Luke Ingle, Avery Ingle, Izzy Ingle, Gavin Dyer, Garrett Dyer, Sarah Dockins, Katie Dockins, Abby Dockins, Tommy Dockins, Emmy Lou Cable, Ella Cable, and Owen Cable; sister S. Kimberly (Mike) Gardner; special friends Ann (Gene) Buckner, and Deanie (Herb) Huffstetler. The family plans to do a private memorial service at a later date.
