Ausie “Dean” Underwood 11/07/1942 - 08/23/2026
After 83 years, Ausie “Dean” Underwood, went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2026. Dean married Dixie Rae Elblein in 1967 and together they shared 45 beautiful years of marriage until her passing in 2012. Dean was blessed to find a love a second time. He married Dorothy “Dottie” Miller in 2014. Dean was born on November 7, 1942 in Winston Co. AL to Odos and Delora Underwood.
Dean was proceeded in death by his parents Odos and Delora Underwood, his wife Dixie Underwood, sister Barbara Woodard, and brother-in-law Bill Woodard.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years to Dottie Underwood, his children; Dina (Donny Green), Mike (Lisa) Underwood, Bobbie (Mark) Griffin, nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. With Dottie came the added blessing of her three children, eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren, brother Wendell (Ruth) Underwood, sister Sharon (Jerry) Goodchild and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 26, 2026 from 1:00pm-3:00pm with a service following at 3:00pm located at Broadway Baptist Church, 2329 E Broadway Ave, Maryville, TN 37804.
