Elijah Michael Hill 09/07/1987-09/26/2025
Elijah Michael Hill, 38, lover of Barney, all humans (especially his family and his best friend Bill Goldman), the color purple, and the music of Jimmy Buffet, Hannah Montana, and Don Williams, went home to heaven to see his Poppa on September 26, 2025. While we weep, he is singing in his now eloquent baritone, dancing on his now strong legs and laughing his beautiful laugh. While our hearts are broken, his body is strong and he is enjoying visiting with all those who have gone before, tattling on us as he never could keep a secret. Our home has lost his joy and light, but he will never hurt again. Sweet Elijah B, all of your puppies (babies) will miss you, but our toes will be safe from your bad driving and you can no longer beat us up!
Elijah leaves behind his sweet Momma, Debra L. Hill; his siblings: Jamison Ashe (Desiree), Erin Ashe, Mark Ethan Hill (Vanessa), Isaac Hill, Brijah Medley (Jorge), Allie Hill, Michael K. Hill, Makiah Hill, and Makady Hill; grandmother, Gayle McCullough; nieces and nephews: Madeline McCorkle (Eli), Jamakas McClellan, Matthew Ashe, Keaton Ashe, Bella Ashe, Noah Grace Ashe, Lauren Ashe, Landon Hill, and Izayah Hill; great nieces and nephews: Amia Cox, Emilia McCorkle and Molly McCorkle.
Elijah is preceded in death by his Poppa, Michael E. Hill.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Blount Funeral and Cremation at 2730 US Highway 411 S, Maryville, TN 37801.
Friends and family will gather on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 11 a.m. for a brief service with interment to follow at Berry Highland South at 9010 E. Simpson Road, Knoxville, TN, 37920.
