Floyd Lance White, age 66, of Maryville, Tennessee, passed away on September 7, 2026, doing what he loved—golfing with friends.

Lance was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a man who will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the love, laughter, and memories he gave to everyone who knew him.

His greatest joys were his son and granddaughter. Harper had a very special place in his heart, when she was small, she couldn't quite say “Papaw,” and instead called him “Papoo.” The name stuck, becoming a precious nickname that perfectly represents the special bond they shared.

Lance is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda (Boling) White, son, Spencer White, daughter-in-law, Lindsey White, and his beloved granddaughter, Harper White, his brothers, Bethel White and Jay White, and his sisters, Donna Pedigo and Becky Cable, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Vertie (Garner) White; his brothers, Ronnie White and Dillon White; and his sister, Janice White.

Lance leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be carried in the hearts of those who loved him. His smile, his laughter, his kindness, and the love he had for his family will never be forgotten.

Though he is no longer here to hold, hug, or hear his voice, his love remains—a part of his family forever. And to Harper, he will always be her beloved “Papoo.”

Family and friends will gather at Franklin Pavilion on Sevierville Rd on 9/26/26 to celebrate his life. He loved watching Tennessee football so we will have the game on for a watch party/tailgate. He would enjoy that for his celebration. The football game and the gathering will start at noon and conclude when the game is over. Please bring your own chair and drinks, if you would like you can bring tailgate snacks to share.

Rest peacefully, Lance. You were deeply loved, and you will be deeply missed.
