Paul Bernard Ledwig entered Glory on September 19, 2026 in Maryville, Tennessee. He was born on April 8, 1958 to Jerome & Joan (Funk) Ledwig in Amarillo, Texas. His early life was lived in Beaumont, Texas. He worked for Exxon-Mobil as a Process Technician for thirty-five years before retiring in 2013.
Paul only listened to “cool music”. He loved animals. He spent lots of time leading his German Shepherds through Schutzen training. He was a voracious reader. He spent many hours studying the Bible, Bible history and theology books and other historical or sociological books.
He truly loved his daughter, Angela, his grandson Derek and step grandchildren Sarah, Andrew and Hannah.
He is survived by his mother Joan Ledwig of College Station, TX, brothers David (Jan) Ledwig of Brevard, NC, Daniel (Paola) Ledwig of Dyer, IN, sister Anna Richards of College Station, TX, daughter Angela (Scott) Patz of Van Vleck, TX, grandsons Derek Patz of College Station, TX, Andrew Patz of Virginia Beach, VA, granddaughters Sarah (Justin) Fry of Holden, MO, and Hannah (Chase) Mulvaney of Hinesville, GA, and 4 great grandchildren, his German Shepherd Arrow and his African Grey Parrot Shadow.

A graveside service will be held at Eusebia Cemetery (1701 Burnett Station Rd, Seymour, TN 37865) on Wednesday September 23, 2026 at 3:00 PM.
