James “Harold” Beaty 06/27/1947 - 02/23/2026
James “Harold” Beaty, 78 of Alcoa, went to be with the Lord on February 23, 2026. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Glenna Huskey Beaty; son, James “Brian” Beaty (Missy); grandchildren, Kendall Beaty Turner (DT), Morgan Beaty Smith (Zack), and Jace Beaty; siblings, Carl Beaty (Linda) and Joyce Beaty Best (Roger) and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Royal M. Beaty & Hazel Myers Beaty. Harold was a graduate of Everett Highschool (class of 65) and attended Draughon’s Business College. He retired from Y-12 National Security Complex in 2011. After retirement, Harold frequently volunteered his time to disaster relief eAorts and genuinely loved serving others. He and Glenna loved traveling and spending time with friends and family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 3508 Wildwood Rd, Maryville, TN 37804. The family will receive friends on Thursday February 26, 2026 from 5:00-7:00pm with the service to follow. The burial ceremony will be on Friday February 27, 2026 at 10:00am at Valley View Baptist Church, 2219 Little Cove Rd, Sevierville (Wears Valley), TN 37862. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Harold’s life.
