Michael Parker 05/07/1951 - 05/15/2026
Michael Parker, loving husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully Friday May 15th, 2026, at the age of 75. Mike was born on May 7th ,1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Doris Marie Parker. On April 8th, 1989, he married Joyce (Bryant) Parker; They raised one son, Zachary, and one daughter, Emily. Mike served 24 years in the Air force as a jet engine mechanic rising to the rank of master sergeant. He had a security clearance and spent time in Germany doing NATO work before retiring when they moved to Maryville, Tennessee. Mike was a man of few words but cared deeply for others. He was a member of the Maryville Church of Christ for 30 years. He was a servant of the lord working with his hands to help friends and family however he could.
Preceded in death by: mother, Doris Marie Parker; Wife, Joyce C. Parker. He is survived by: son, Zachary Parker; daughter, Emily Parker; Sisters: Susy Price; Sandy Hicks & brother-in-law Bobby Hicks; Debbie Collier & brother-in-law Charlie Collier; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday May 25th 2026 form 5-7pm at Maryville Church of Christ in Maryville, Tn with a funeral service to follow. A burial will be held at East Tennessee Veteran Cemetery on May 26th at 12:30pm.
