Michael Patterson 03/20/1975 - 05/08/2026
Michael fought the good fight and completed his race on May 8, 2026 at the age of 51. He lived his life as a devoted follower of Christ, loving husband, father and poppy. Michael’s journey on earth is one that exemplifies selflessness, love and the desire to share the goodness of God with others. Michael was a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church and loved his church family deeply. Previously, he served as a Deacon at Friendsville First Baptist Church for many years.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ralph.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Julie; his children, Kylie (Hunter Clark) and Kaybrie (fiancé Warden Bates); his granddaughter, Everleigh Jean Clark; his mother, Christine; his sister, Karen (Johnny Ray); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to show their gratitude to Prisma Health Blount Memorial Hospital’s infusion center nurses, who took the greatest care of Michael. Special thank you to his “buddy” as he would call her, Jennifer Collins, who made treatment as enjoyable as possible.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm at Dotson Memorial Baptist Church. A service honoring Michael’s life will begin at 5:00pm with a graveside service (Clark’s Grove Cemetery) to follow at 6:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to ministries that were near and dear to his heart, Knox Area Rescue Ministries and Dotson Memorial Baptist Church.
