Robert Allen “Moe” Hair 06/07/1946-04/27/2025
Mr. Robert Allen “Moe” Hair, 78, of Greenback died Friday April 27, 2025. He was born in Maryville TN, the son of the late Kenneth and Josephine Hair. Robert was a member of Dotson Memorial Baptist Church. He worked at Delta Air Lines in various capacities for 32 years, retiring in 2000. He also worked at Fort Loudon Electric and helped build residential houses. Robert was preceded in death by sister Kay Brooks, brother-in law Roy M. Brooks, and sister-in-law Flora Long. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and working on the family farm.
Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Brenda Yearout Hair; son Shane Hair and wife, Myra of Greenback; son Cory Hair of Collinsville, OK; 2 grandsons, Seth Hair and Andrew Hair; 2 granddaughters Macy Hair and Megan Hair; brother-in-law, Gary Long of Knoxville; nephew Jim “Fuzz” Brooks and wife, Kathy; numerous cousins and relatives.
Receiving of friends will be Thursday May 1, 2025 (4:00pm – 6:00pm) at Dotson Memorial Baptist Church, 814 Dotson Memorial Rd, Maryville TN 37801. The reverend Scott Huffstetler will be officiating the service immediately after the receiving of friends. Interment will follow on Friday May 2, 2025 @9:30am at Chilhowee View Cemetery; 541 Pleasant Hill Rd, Maryville, TN 37803. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dotson Memorial Baptist Church, 814 Dotson Memorial Rd, Maryville TN 37801.
