Robert “Bobby” Russell McKenry, Jr. 04/08/1939 - 04/30/2026
Robert “Bobby” Russell McKenry, Jr., age 87, of Walland, TN passed away April 30, 2026, at UT Medical Center.
Bob was a lifelong farmer as a dairy man, raised beef cattle, and crops. His work ethic and faithfulness continued until his final day. He was an active member of Oak View Baptist Church, a graduate of Porter High School class of 1957, and the Ellejoy Creek Conservationist. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed successful elk hunts in Colorado for five years. He delighted in camping trips with family and friends, and horseback riding in the mountains.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert McKenry, Sr. and Sarah Louise Brown McKenry; father and mother-in-law Robert Keeble and Sarah Ruth Ownby Keeble; son, Robert Russell “Rusty” McKenry III.
Those left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy are his wife of 67 years, Geraldine Keeble McKenry, daughter Robin McKenry Adams (Greg), daughter-in-law, Laura Bultsma McKenry; grandchildren, Laura Adams Fields (Chad), Michael Adams (Sarah), Lydia McKenry Hannah (Jordan); great-grandchildren, Madison and Robert Fields, Arthur and Walter Adams, Raylea Hannah; brother, Phil McKenry (Janice), sisters, Linda Pryor (late Robert Pryor), Glenda Carroll (James); brothers-in-law, Randall Keeble (Herta), Dana Keeble (Jackie), sister-in-law, Sheila Patterson (John), many special nieces, nephews, neighbors, hunting buddies, farmers, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Oak View Baptist Church with services to follow. Pastor Scott Huffstetler officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 am on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery for graveside and interment.
Memorial donations may be made to Oak View Baptist Church designated for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoebox ministry.
