Shelby Jean Stalans 11/19/1938 - 08/18/2025
Shelby Jean Stalans, 87, of Maryville, passed away on August 18, 2025.
Shelby was born in Canton, Georgia, to Charlie and Marie White. She grew up in Broadway Baptist Church, where her faith and friendships shaped much of her life. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Home Economics where she went on to share her talents. An amazing seamstress, she loved needlework and crafting, skills she carried with her throughout her life.
Shelby married Ken Stalans, and together they shared 67 years of marriage. He always called her “Sweet Thang”. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Betty White; and her daughter, Donna Kay Rollins.
She is survived by her husband, Ken; her daughter, Terri Graham; her son, Brian Stalans; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Shelby will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and the unconditional love she showed to her family and friends.
A visitation will be held at Broadway Baptist Church on August 21, with receiving of friends at 1 p.m., the service at 2 p.m., and interment following at Clarks Grove Cemetery
