Steven Craig Dockery, 55, of Maryville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of July 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Steve was a man who lived life with heart and humor. He was born on March 21, 1970 to Cleo and Edith Dockery.
Known for his quick wit and infectious laughter, he had a special gift for bringing joy to those around him. Whether telling stories, cracking jokes, or simply being present, Steve had a way of making everyone feel welcome and uplifted.
A talented musician, Steve spent many of his days doing what he loved most—playing music and sharing those moments with friends. Music was more than a hobby to him; it was a way of life, a way to connect, and a way to celebrate each day.
Above all else, Steve deeply loved his family. He was a devoted son, a caring brother, and a loyal friend. His warmth, generosity, and kindness will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
One of the most meaningful moments of Steve’s final weeks came on June 27, when he was baptized by his father, surrounded by family. In that powerful and sacred moment, he recommitted his life to the Lord—a decision that filled him with pride, peace, and renewed purpose.
Steve's legacy is one of laughter, love, and light. He leaves behind a lasting impression on everyone blessed to share in his journey.
Steve is preceded by his loving mother, Edith Dockery; grandparents, Arthur and Reta Dockery, Ozell O’Neal, Jessie Ford; and best friend, Bill Hopper.
