Susan Allene Baxter 09/25/1985 - 01/30/2026

Susan Allen Lawson, Baxter, was a 40-year-old mother of two, AJ Bryant and James Baxter. She lived in Maryville, Tennessee through her entire life. She died on January 28th, 2026, at St. Thomas West Hospital, Nashville. Susan was a descendant of Cecil Lawson and Effie Lawson. Later on in life she met her Husband, Kenny Baxter. 

Outside of her family life, Susan was a hard worker, who had an ability to easily sympathize with anyone she came across. Her passion for mental health and coping allowed her to change multiple people's outlooks on life. She was interested in helping others through life struggles and often found herself surrounded by others. 

Within her lifetime, she enjoyed various types of arts such as: Poems, Drawing, Knitting, and Theater. Throughout high school she had two poems published and worked on different theater shows. Susan loved any and all types of animals, regardless of if it was goats or cats. She always wants more pets.

Her visitation will occur at Blount Funeral and Cremation, Monday February 16. It will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Everyone who would like to say their goodbyes is welcome.
