Thomas Shockey, who passed away on May 6, 2026, will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving family man, and a friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Thomas never met a stranger—he greeted everyone with a warm hello and left them smiling with one of his legendary stories. Known for his quick wit and natural gift for storytelling, he brought laughter wherever he went and lived life with a true zest that inspired those around him.
An avid golfer, Thomas found joy on the course, but his greatest pride and happiness came from the time he spent with his family. He was a steady presence, a source of humor, and a man whose love ran deep.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; his mother, Willie; and his siblings, Jerry, Bobby, Johnny, Wanda, Gary, Teresa, Donald, Sissy, and Gary.
Thomas leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Jean Shockey; his daughter, Paulette; and his son, Tommy. He was a proud grandfather to George, Carol, Jimmy, Billy, and Bob, and a great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren who will carry on his legacy of love and laughter.
In honoring Thomas’s wishes, donations may be made directly to his family, in care of his wife, Jean Shockey.
Thomas Shockey’s life was one filled with warmth, humor, and genuine kindness. He will be deeply missed, but the stories he shared and the laughter he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
