Benjamin “Ben” Allen Hazel 12/18/1979 - 08/13/2026
Benjamin “Ben” Allen Hazel, age 46, of Maryville, TN passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2026. Ben was born on December 18, 1979, in Anderson, IN to Glen and Jan Hazel. In 2009, he married his devoted wife, Jessica, with whom he shared 17 years before passing. Together they raised their beautiful children in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains where he enjoyed camping, motorcycle rides, and golfing with friends. Ben will forever be remembered for his quiet strength and humorous spirit. He lived out his faith through a constant willingness to serve and showed abundant compassion for the hurting and those in need. Ben worked tirelessly to provide for his family as a business owner and talented certified arborist.
In addition to his wife, Ben is survived by his children Elise (13) and Asher (9), parents Glen and Jan, sister Salena Waters (Andy), grandmother Salena Pearmain, 10 aunts and uncles, 13 cousins, loving in-laws, and numerous dear friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents Russell and Margaret Hazel, Lynn Pearmain, and cousin Scott Oldham.
Ben will be remembered on August 19, 2026 at the Maryville Church of Christ. His family will receive friends and family from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support a mission Ben was passionate about through the Maryville Church of Christ, P.O. Box 5293, Maryville, TN, 37802. Blount Funeral and Cremation will be handling the arrangements for his funeral service.
