Bradley Joe Proffitt 04/25/1973 - 04/19/2026
Bradley Joe Proffitt of Maryville, Tn passed away at home unexpectedly April 19, 2026. He was 52 years old. Brad was preceded in death by his father Ralph Edward Proffitt and his sisters Johnna Ford and LeAnn Proffit. Brad was born and raised in the Karns area of Knoxville, Tn. He was a graduate of Karns High School, Pellissippi State and the University of Tennessee class of 1999. Brad worked in both the armed security and customer service fields for most of his life and officially retired from the workforce in 2023. He was also a proud military veteran who served his country as a member of the 253rd Military Police Company. He felt the need to serve after the events of 9/11 and was part of the operation “Iraqi Freedom”.
Brad is survived by his loving wife Kathryn Proffitt, step children Kennedy Grant, Greg (Elizabeth) and Shawn (Alexis) Grant/ grandchildren Layla, Gabby, Cayden (Leigh), Gabe, Eli, Annalynn and Krayden and his great grandchildren Rhealynn, Kaius and Jasper; his mother Joyce Weaver Proffitt, brother-in-law Jimmie Ford; niece Heather (Robert) Anderson and great nephew/niece Nathan and Isabella.
A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday May 12, 2026 at Franklin Pavilion 3729 Sevierville Rd Maryville, Tn 37804 from 2:30-4:30PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation in Brads memory. Brad will be remembered for his commitment to family, the kindness he showed and the love he gave. He is and will be loved “always and forever”.
